64 : 1 Hear my voice, O God, in mycomplaint;preserve my life from dread of the enemy.
64 : 2 Hide me fromthe secret plots of the wicked, from the throng of evildoers,
64 : 3 whowhet their tongues like swords, whoaim bitter words like arrows,
64 : 4 shooting fromambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly andwithout fear.
64 : 5 Theyhold fast to their evil purpose;they talk oflaying snares secretly, thinking,Who can see them?
64 : 6 They search out injustice, saying,We have accomplished a diligent search.Forthe inward mind and heart of a man are deep.
64 : 7 But God shoots his arrow at them;they are wounded suddenly.
64 : 8 They are brought to ruin, with their owntongues turned against them;all whosee them willwag their heads.
64 : 9 Then all mankindfears;theytell what God has brought aboutand ponder what he has done.
