9 : 1 Wisdom has built her house;she has hewn hersevenpillars.
9 : 2 She hasslaughtered her beasts; she hasmixed her wine;she has alsoset her table.
9 : 3 She hassent out her young women tocallfromthe highest places in the town,
9 : 4 Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!To him who lacks sense she says,
9 : 5 Come,eat of my breadanddrink ofthe wine I have mixed.
9 : 6 Leaveyour simple ways,andlive,and walk in the way of insight.
9 : 7 Whoever corrects a scoffer gets himself abuse,and he who reproves a wicked man incurs injury.
9 : 8 Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you;reprove a wise man, and he will love you.
9 : 9 Give instructionto a wise man, and he will bestill wiser;teach a righteous man, and he willincrease in learning.
9 : 10 The fear of theLordis the beginning of wisdom,andthe knowledge of the Holy One is insight.
9 : 11 For by meyour days will be multiplied,and years will be added to your life.
9 : 12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself;if you scoff, you alone will bear it.
9 : 13 The woman Folly isloud;she is seductiveandknows nothing.
9 : 14 She sits at the door of her house;she takes a seat onthe highest places of the town,
9 : 15 calling to those who pass by,who aregoing straight on their way,
9 : 16 Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!And to him who lacks sense she says,
9 : 17 Stolen water is sweet,andbread eaten in secret is pleasant.
9 : 18 But he does not knowthat the deadare there,that her guests are in the depths of Sheol.
